At its heart is a refined sand-coloured dial, designed to evoke the shifting tones of the desert landscape. For the first time on a Vertex watch, the model features filled metal indices, offering enhanced depth, clarity, and durability while maintaining the legibility that defines Vertex military timepieces.

It's a little gem and exceeded my expectations

It's a little gem and exceeded my expectations. It is by far, much better in the flesh than the photos, which did not do it full justice. I have the standard M 36 which is my preferred every day watch, but the DE version takes it up to a different level. Well done Vertex you have managed to pull it off again.

A stunning timepiece

This watch is likely the most refined for the Vertex Collection so far: amazing features packed into a cohesive timepiece. It conveys a modern aesthetic while honoring the tradition of the WWII desert soldiers who wore the original. The combination of bronze case, boxed sapphire crystal, bordered lumed numbers allowing excellent legibility, and sand-colored dial create a stunning package. It incorporates an automatic movement with rotor - a great modernization, while still maintaining slimness to the case. There are also additional lume hour points in addition to the lumed numbers, and the hour and minute hand lumes shine. The solid back case shows the numbered edition on a wonderful compass design. The presence of a screw-down crown was also a pleasant surprise, as was the addition of extra leather and NATO straps, spring bars, screws and the best micro flathead screwdriver I've seen. The military-grade hard case the watch arrives in, with velcro patch attached, was a sight to behold. Don was amazing every step of the way; much credit to Vertex Watches, and cheers!

Awesome watch

Awesome watch. My Vertex. I had not seen the watch in person so ordered it based upon pictures. The pictures did not do it justice. Great build quality. Keeps accurate time and just beautiful. Well worth the money.

Case

Taking it’s DNA from the Vertex Cal59 timepiece of 1944, the bespoke 36mm case measures 11mm in depth with a lug width of 18mm and a lug-to-lug of 46.5mm.

Double Domed Sapphire Box Crystal, utilising anti-reflecting treatment AR08 +AR06

Movement

Driven by the 31 Jewel non-date SELLITA SW260-1 Top Grade movement, this automatic mechanism features small hacking seconds and a Nivaflex hairspring. A distinguished Swiss calibre timepiece, it is celebrated for its slim profile while embodying robustness and dependability. Calibrated in three distinct positions, it operates at 28,800 vph or 4Hz frequency.

Water Resistance

Waterproof to 100 meters with the additional security of a screw-in crown.

Dial

The M100’s dial echos the original Vertex WWW model, from the font, to the minute track and the hour markers. However, the modern design boasts the very best X1 grade C3 Super-LumiNova. The spectacular lume has been cast into solid blocks, ensuring unparalleled clarity and an enduring, signature Vertex glow.

The M36

The M36 is the ultimate homage to the legendary Vertex WWW Cal 59 - worn by
the soldiers, sailors and airmen during WW2

With meticulous care to maintain the essence of the original specification, the 21st century version is modernised to embrace the very best of today’s watchmaking technology.

Its top specification Sellita SW260-1 movement is attached to ‘syringe hands’ and a sub second counter, which match the original perfectly. This is housed in the M36’s brushed steel 36mm case and locking crown, ensuring water resistance down to 100 meters.

As a reminder of the Vertex military heritage, each watch features a ‘broad arrow ’marking on the dial. - The British MOD has given Vertex specific permission to use this as a mark of historical relevance.

The moulded SuperLuminova dial emits the signature and imitable Vertex glow, allowing perfect legibility in any conditions, no matter your current mission.
