An Exceptional Experience at the Vertex Store

An Exceptional Experience at the Vertex Store, London

From the moment I stepped into the Vertex boutique in London, I knew I was in for something special. Tucked discreetly away from the chaos of the high street, the store felt more like a private club than a retail space — quiet, refined, and steeped in the kind of heritage you can’t fake.

A soft chime announced my arrival, and I was warmly greeted by a member of the Vertex team who, rather than launching into a sales pitch, invited me to sit down and enjoy a coffee. On the table before me was a beautifully curated display of Vertex history — wartime photographs, vintage dials, and stories that connected the brand’s past to its modern rebirth.

When the M100A was brought out, the experience felt ceremonial. The watch sat on a dark leather tray, its brushed steel case catching the soft light perfectly. My guide explained the design lineage tracing back to the original Dirty Dozen military watches, showing how the modern reinterpretation stayed faithful to those rugged roots while adding contemporary precision and finishing.

Handling the M100A was a revelation. The tactile click of the bezel, the crispness of the numerals on the matte dial, and the beautifully balanced case size all spoke to a deep respect for purpose-driven design. When I strapped it on, it didn’t feel like a new accessory — it felt like an heirloom rediscovered.

The team’s passion for the brand was contagious. They took the time to size the strap perfectly, register my ownership, and even offered a tour of a few upcoming prototypes in development. There was no pressure, only enthusiasm

— the kind that comes from people who genuinely love what they do.
As I left the boutique, M100A on my wrist, the watch wasn’t just keeping time — it was keeping history. Walking through the streets of London, I couldn’t help but feel connected to a legacy of craftsmanship, precision, and quiet confidence that Vertex embodies so well.

It wasn’t just a purchase. It was an experience — intimate, authentic, and deeply British.

I can't take it off - amazing field watch

I’ve owned several Vertex watches, and like them all, the M100A is truly something special. It’s incredibly well built, with remarkable dial depth and phenomenal lume. On top of that, it’s a real strap monster. The M100A has so much character and purpose, especially with its connection to the Dirty Dozen story. I absolutely love mine.

Nothing short of excellent

My partner and I met Don and the team at their shop in London and had a fantastic experience. I wanted to try on the M100A and I was also very impressed with the AquaLion (my partner loved the M36 in bronze). A couple of months later I ordered the M100A and it was beautifully presented with a variety of quality straps. When I submitted an enquiry about the watch, the reply was very prompt and helpful. I love the brand and the watch and would happily recommend it to anyone. For those in London, pop in and have a look at their store. It's great!

The build quality is excellent. It’s much nicer than they can portray on the website photos. The best part was the customer service. They went out of their way to make sure I was happy.

The M100

The M100 is the ultimate homage to the legendary Vertex WWW Cal 59 - worn by
the soldiers, sailors and airmen during WW2

With meticulous care to maintain the essence of the original specification, the 21st century version is modernised to embrace the very best of today’s watchmaking technology.

Its top specification Sellita SW260-1 movement is attached to ‘syringe hands’ and a sub second counter, which match the original perfectly. This is housed in the M100’s brushed steel 40mm case and locking crown, ensuring water resistance down to 100 meters.

As a reminder of the Vertex military heritage, each watch features a ‘broad arrow ’marking on the dial. - The British MOD has given Vertex specific permission to use this as a mark of historical relevance.

The moulded SuperLuminova dial emits the signature and imitable Vertex glow, allowing perfect legibility in any conditions, no matter your current mission.
