I haven’t worn anything else since the M36 arrived.

Perhaps the best testimonial I can give is that I haven’t worn anything else since the M36 arrived. I absolutely love it.

This was a watch I wanted to purchase when it was first released but it took me the past two years to plan and save and I am so grateful to have it on my wrist and in my collection.

One of the standout features for me that exceeded my expectations is the crystal. So amazingly clear and seemingly a step up from the crystals on my Grand and King Seiko’s and Sinn U50. It’s perfect.

I had high hopes for the dial and it doesn’t disappoint either. Cleanly assembled, great color and finish on the dial itself and the lumed indices are every bit as good as I had hoped. I had experienced this type of lume block indices before on my VPC Type 37 which is a lovely watch but these are far superior.

I really didn’t know what I would think of the expandable bracelet but it too has exceeded expectations. It’s hard to imagine switching to anything else.

Another standout I didn’t expect was the lovely quarter round bezel. Simple, no nonsense and absolutely perfect. A great case.

The watch is running very well from a movement perspective as well. Gaining about +3 seconds a day in use and showing wonderful amplitude on the time grapher. I was slightly disappointed that when I first pulled out the crown it did not completely hack the seconds and it seemed as if the gears were not fully engaged to adjust the time. This has occurred multiple times but seems to correct itself when I push the crown back in and then pull it out again. I emailed right away about this issue and the person who responded indicated that they had heard of this before but that I should not worry about it. It does cause me a little worry though if I am being completely honest. The only slight blemish to an otherwise perfect watch.

That brings me to my last point which is customer service. The responses to my questions before purchase were very quick and attentive. The watch arrived promptly and was beautifully packaged and my concern mentioned above received a quick response.

I am very proud to be a Vertex owner.

Had my eye on the M36 and I am not disappointed

Had my eye on the M36 for some time and I have not been disappointed. The watch arrived quickly and superbly packaged with its certificate. I love it, it looks great and is keeping time as you would expect. It’s a fantastic tribute the wartime original.

The M36

The M36 is the ultimate homage to the legendary Vertex WWW Cal 59 - worn by
the soldiers, sailors and airmen during WW2

With meticulous care to maintain the essence of the original specification, the 21st century version is modernised to embrace the very best of today’s watchmaking technology.

Its top specification Sellita SW260-1 movement is attached to ‘syringe hands’ and a sub second counter, which match the original perfectly. This is housed in the M36’s brushed steel 36mm case and locking crown, ensuring water resistance down to 100 meters.

As a reminder of the Vertex military heritage, each watch features a ‘broad arrow ’marking on the dial. - The British MOD has given Vertex specific permission to use this as a mark of historical relevance.

The moulded SuperLuminova dial emits the signature and imitable Vertex glow, allowing perfect legibility in any conditions, no matter your current mission.
